Downloading and Installing Products on STACKS

Once you've purchased or redeemed a product on STACKS, follow this guide to download and install your plugin, sample pack, or virtual instrument.


Step 1: Log Into Your Account In The Desktop App

  1. If you haven't installed the STACKS Desktop app, download STACKS. If you've done this already, you can skip this step.
  2. Click "Log In" in the upper right-hand corner. A browser window will open. If you're not already signed in, enter your account credentials. Once authenticated in the browser, hit "Open" to sync your desktop app to your account.

Step 2: Access Your Stack and Download Your Product

  1. Select "My Stack" in the main menu.
  2. You’ll see a list of all your purchased and redeemed products. Find the product you want to download.
  3. Click the "DOWNLOAD" button next to the product name.
  4. If this is the first time you're installing a product, you may need to choose your preferred format(s) (e.g., VST, AU, AAX, or Standalone).

For sample packs or Kontakt instruments, the audio files or instrument libraries will be downloaded to the appropriate directory on your computer.


Pro Tip: select multiple products using the checkboxes on the left side of the My Stack page and select "Download Selected" in the bulk actions menu to install multiple products simultaneously.


Step 3: Activate Your Product (skip for products that use STACKS Authentication)

  1. Some plugins require a license key for activation.
  2. In your "My Stack", click the three dots next to the product and select "Copy License Key."
  3. Open the plugin in your DAW and paste the license key when prompted.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Installation Issues: Ensure you’ve selected the correct plugin format for your DAW.
  • License Key Problems: Double-check that you’ve copied the key correctly.
