How to Authorize and Activate Your Products

After downloading and installing your product, you may need to authorize and activate it to get up and running. Here’s how to do it, depending on the type of authorization your product uses.

Automatic Authorization (STACKS Authentication)

Products using STACKS Authentication are automatically authorized as long as you’re signed into your STACKS account on your computer.

Ensure you are signed in to your STACKS account on your computer.
Open the product in your DAW or as a standalone application.
The product should work without any additional steps.

Note: You need to be online at least every 30 days for your license to stay active. If your license expires, simply reconnect to the internet and log into STACKS and your license will automatically renew for another 30 days.

License Key Authorization

Some products require a license key for authorization.

Go to "My Stack" and find the product you want to authorize.
Click the three dots next to the product and select "Copy License Key."
Open the product in your DAW or as a standalone application.
When prompted, paste the license key (Command + V on Mac or Control + V on Windows).

iLok Authorization

Some products use iLok for license management.

Ensure you have the iLok License Manager installed on your computer.
In "My Stack," click the three dots next to the product and select "Copy License Key."
Open the iLok License Manager.
Sign into your iLok account and click "Redeem Activation Code."
Paste the license key and follow the prompts to activate the product to your iLok account or device.

Troubleshooting Tips

Automatic Auth Not Working: Ensure you’re signed in to your STACKS account and have an internet connection.
License Key Errors: Verify you copied the full license key correctly.
iLok Issues: Ensure your iLok License Manager is up-to-date and that your iLok account is properly synced.
